FRAME will be holding their next Training School on 9th – 11th January 2019.

The twelfth Training School will be hosted by the University of Nottingham and is a collaboration between FRAME and EU H2020 project VetBioNet.

Aimed at postgraduate level or above, the Training School, will:

  • provide researchers with an understanding of basic design concepts;
  • give researchers the ability to use more efficient designs for their experiments stimulate engagement with the Three Rs; and
  • enable access to expert tutors.

The FRAME Training Schools are highly interactive and includes lectures, group discussions and individual exercises. The programme is structured to lead participants from simple experimental design and statistical ideas, through more complex methods and analysis to effective presentation of findings.

Comments from past participants:

“I thought the information on experimental design was tremendously valuable. I wish I had had the opportunity to take this while I was a student. I also feel as if I do have a better understanding of statistics, which is something I’ve always struggled with, so well done! Thanks very much.”

“The tutors were amazing and extremely engaged. I was nervous that I wouldn’t be able to follow along, but I felt like I learned a lot and had a lot of fun in the process.”

The Training School is FELASA accredited and qualifies for CPD.
