Sara Carbone is a FRAME Trustee and joined the Board in February 2022.

Sara is head of communications and digital at RCVS Knowledge, the charity partner of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS), and has over 17 years experience in the publishing and charity sectors.

In her current role, Sara helps to shape the cross-organisational strategy and culture and leads the governance of the charity, as well as its overall communications and digital activity. Before joining  RCVS Knowledge, Sara held senior communications roles at the Royal College of Occupational Therapists, as well at the national mental health charities, Rethink Mental Illness and Mind.

What it means to be a Trustee of FRAME:

A future where we use non-animal models is one where research results will be more accurate and precise, and drugs and methodologies will be more effective and safer for us all. Just as importantly, it is also a future where cruelty to animals will be obsolete, and there will be a greater respect and appreciation for the natural world – something we must do all we can to protect and preserve. FRAME is at a very exciting point in its development, and there are so many great opportunities to further increase its visibility and communicate its impact.
