Jessie Hellier

Jessie is Policy Officer at FRAME

Jessie graduated from Plymouth University in 2018 with a BSc (Hons) in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, following this with an MSc in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law from the University of Glasgow in 2020.

After finishing her MSc, Jessie got in contact with FRAME about undertaking some desk-based volunteering, and volunteered until offered the position of Policy and Projects intern in March 2021. She has led projects at FRAME including the Impetus Project, and allows FRAME to stay abreast of policy developments, both nationally and internationally.

Jessie is passionate about animal welfare and animal rights, with FRAME’s vision being close to her heart. She has a particular interest in legislation and policy surrounding the use of animals in science. Jessie is excited to be in a position that allows her to bring her scientific background, passion for animal welfare, and knowledge of animal research policy together, and work towards a world in which animals are no longer necessary in research.
