Biography

Dr Susan Trigwell is the Managing Editor of ATLA.

Susan is responsible for dealing with submissions, arranging peer-review, liaising with authors, and copyediting and proofreading articles during the production of each journal issue.

After receiving a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Nottingham in 1997, and prior to joining FRAME, Susan worked in numerous academic research laboratories at the University of Nottingham, University of Leicester and University of Derby, applying cell culture, molecular biological and immunological techniques to a diverse range of studies on RNA polymerase, diabetes, breast cancer, plant tissue cryopreservation and DNA structure.

Susan joined FRAME in 2006, specifically to work on ATLA. She particularly enjoys assisting authors for whom English is a second language, to successfully publish their work on the 3Rs.
