Biography

Celean Camp is Chief Executive Officer at FRAME.

Celean works closely with the FRAME team, the Board of Trustees and the charity’s partners to drive forward necessary changes in policy and practice to help FRAME to achieve its ultimate aim of eliminating the need to use laboratory animals in any kind of medical and scientific procedures.

Celean has a MA Hons in Psychology from the University of Aberdeen and a MSc Psychology from the Open University.

Her previous positions have included Director at Association of Child Protection Professionals, Operations Manager at Accessible Arts and Media and Charity Manager at Institute for Effective Education.

Celean has been passionate about animal rights from a young age – she campaigned on the issue, chose to study at a university department without an animal laboratory and worked for a leading cruelty-free cosmetics brand in her first job.

Celean is excited to be in a position where she can help develop FRAME’s education and outreach work to ensure that future generations of scientists understand the available alternatives to animal testing and the scientific industry is aware of the benefits of non-animal methods, both in terms of validity and cost.
