The passing of Bob Combes

Dr Robert Combes, who was FRAME’s Scientific Director (and later Director) from 1994 to 2008, died on Sunday 6 June 2021, as a result of a pulmonary embolism. Dr Combes was an ongoing active member of the Alternatives to Laboratory Animals (ATLA) Editorial Board, as well as being an Associate Editor for the journal throughout his time at FRAME. Tributes will follow in due course, on this website and in FRAME’s journal, Alternatives to Laboratory Animals (ATLA).
