Remember a Charity Week 2020

This week marks Remember a Charity Week (Monday 7 to Sunday 13 September 2020), providing an opportunity for everyone to take a moment to consider leaving a gift to charity in their Will, after looking after family and friends.

Remember a Charity is a registered charity that brings together 200 charities who rely on gifts in Wills, and FRAME is delighted to have renewed our membership this year.

Legacy gifts are incredibly important to FRAME, as an independent charity which receives no funding from central and local government. By leaving a gift to FRAME, supporters can continue to help us work towards a time when animals are no longer needed in medical research.

As part of Remember a Charity Week, we’re pleased to be able to offer all FRAME supporters 20% off Will writing services from Co-op Legal Services. You will benefit from a telephone or blended Will-writing service with a saving of £30 per single Will. To find out more or get started, please follow this link. Every day throughout the week, we will also be sharing facts and information about FRAME on social media, as well as shouting out to our fellow Remember a Charity members.

A legacy is a great way to keep your memory alive and continue to help the causes you care about live on for future generations.

Those who kindly and generously pledge to leave a gift to FRAME in their Will enable us to continue our work to develop new, scientifically valid human-based methods that will replace the need for laboratory animals in medical and scientific research, education, and testing.

As well as funding FRAME’s pioneering research, the donations and legacies we receive also help us to educate the general public, educate and train scientists and future scientists, provide grants and scholarships, offer scientific knowledge, expertise and guidance, collaborate with industry and academia, and promote the 3Rs worldwide.

Leaving a legacy

Leaving a legacy in your Will is relatively straight-forward. However, we would always recommend using a legal professional to ensure your will is up-to-date and valid.

When making your Will, it is important that you include the full name of your chosen charity and its charity number to ensure your gift goes to the right place.

As FRAME is a registered charity, leaving a legacy to us is completely tax free, ensuring your gift goes towards directly support our work.
