Legacies allow us to continue our pioneering research and find non-animal methods to remove the use of animals in laboratory research. By leaving a gift in your will to FRAME you will be supporting us to fund and promote even more research into non-animal methods. Our hope is that one day no animals are used in scientific or medical research and testing. With your help we can create the methods and tools that will replace animal testing, building a more humane future for everyone.
A legacy is a gift in your will that is given to your selected charity.
As FRAME is a registered charity, leaving a legacy to us is completely tax-free, ensuring your gift goes directly to our work.
A legacy is a great way to keep your memory alive and provide ongoing support to causes that are important to you.
By leaving a gift in your will to FRAME you will provide essential funding that we can use where it is needed most. We are a small, flexible charity that works hard to identify the key areas where we can add the most value. By leaving a gift in your will you will allow us to continue with our work, identifying key areas for funding and promoting the use of non-animal methods. If you would like to see an end to animal testing as well as funding the future of humane medical research then we are the charity for you!
We recommend speaking to a legal professional about the type of gift you would like to leave in your will to ensure your will is legal and valid.
When you leave a gift to charity in your will, the value of your gift will be deducted from your estate before Inheritance Tax is applied. This means it could reduce the amount of tax paid.

This is a gift of a set amount, called a ‘pecuniary legacy’.
Known as a ‘residuary legacy’ it is a percentage of what remains of your estate after all other gifts and expenses have been paid. One of the advantages of a residuary legacy is that it will always stay in proportion because it is a percentage. So you don’t need to worry about changing your will if you have an amount to leave that differs from what you expected.
This could be something valuable such as an antique, painting, property, or shares. When making your will, it is important that you ensure that the full name of your chosen charity and their charity number is included to ensure your gift goes to the right place.
“I have chosen to support FRAME with a legacy as I cannot see any better possible use for the money! Advancing medicine without the use of animals is beneficial to all; medical science advances; animals do not suffer. If vivisection is reduced because of my legacy, then I will feel that my life has been worthwhile. Many charities make a temporary (albeit important) difference to their chosen cause; advancing medical science makes a permanent change. Everyone who gives to charity likely gives according to their heart; mine lies here.”
