Millions of animals are being used in experiments when they are not the most scientifically relevant method.

At the FRAME Alternatives Laboratory our mission is to show the effective use of cutting-edge non-animal models and promote them to our fellow researchers across the world.

FRAME has supported the lab based at the University of Nottingham since 1991 and together produced and promoted numerous non-animal methods, tests, and procedures for use in scientific experiments and medical testing.

But we need to do more. In 2020, animals were used in over 2.8 million procedures.
