Would you like to be involved in reducing and eliminating the use of animals in medical experiments?
FRAME is an independent charity with the ultimate aim of the replacement of animals in medical experiments.
Our focus is on finding and researching alternatives to animal testing. We are dedicated to the development of new, valid and ethical scientific methods that will replace the need for laboratory animals in medical and scientific research, education and testing. Where the use of animals is currently necessary, FRAME supports the reduction of numbers involved to a minimum, along with the refinement of experimental procedures to minimise any suffering caused.
After a restructure and rebrand in 2017, we are now focusing on achieving our strategic objectives of increasing income to support our work and raising our profile as a trainer/educator and thought leader.
We are currently seeking new trustees with a scientific or commercial background to join our Board, to help provide strategic direction and governance for FRAME. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with an interest or experience in scientific and medical research and the development of animal alternatives. We’d also be interested in hearing from anyone who is passionate about eliminating the use of animals in research. Expertise in one or more of the following areas would be welcome but is not essential: income generation, legal affairs, campaigning, small charities and communications.
FRAME’s Board of Trustees meets four times per year, in Nottingham. You would also be expected to have some input into the strategy and communications for the charity.
